Boston Harbor Distillery
Boston Harbor Distillery is located along the shores of Boston Harbor where—since 1859—the site of their brick and beam distillery has been a hub of entrepreneurial commerce and prolific thinking. From the inventions of Silas S. Putnam to the world famous yachts made by George Lawley & Sons shipyard and the icey flavors created by the Seymour family, Boston Harbor Distillery is proud to carry on this legacy with their redefinition of American spirits. Piloted by the co-founder of The Boston Beer Company (Sam Adams), and a master mixologist, Boston Harbor Distillery is guided by a grain-to-glass philosophy and desire to create a destination inspired by New England.
Our branding process began with an in-depth discovery phase, studying historical nautical maps, tide charts, and archival documents spanning centuries of history. We developed a brand that is iconic and emblematic of the Boston Harbor Distillery mission. We worked with renowned illustrator Steven Noble to craft the scratchboard engraving of the building. Branding and packaging for the distillery also includes four sub-brands, Putnam (whiskey), Lawley's (rum), Seymour's (specialty), and Custom Spirits (Seasonal). Each includes a unique identity and packaging solutions that work for a variety of spirits. We hope you visit this beautiful, historic building to sample their handcrafted liquor and experience Boston Harbor Distilleries journey to redefine American spirits.
Bluerock Design has been instrumental in the success we’ve had at Boston Harbor Distillery from the beginning. Their attention to detail, eye for design, grasp of the fundamentals and responsiveness of each project and brand they work on is unequalled. We’ve been working together for nearly seven years and look forward to the next seven! Cheers!”
